Thanks go to J'Karrah for creating and maintaining the original list.

There are quite a few places online where you can upload your artwork and get feedback from other people. Here is a list of some of them.

deviantART is one of the largest art communities on the internet. Of course that means it has its fair share of internet drama. Its basically a "free for all" gallery, anyone with an email address can join, with no storage or upload limit. There is also place for you to upload scraps, for rough sketches and work you don't want into your main gallery. While "artistic nudity" is permitted no displays of sexual acts or sexually suggestive acts of any kind are permitted on deviantART.

Storm-Artists is similar to deviantART in regards to opening a gallery and site features, but has a smaller community. SA also has 'official' groups for promotion of your artwork.

Fur Affinity is also a little like deviantART but is a lot more accepting to the furry and otherkin community. Adult artwork is welcomed but you do have to opt-in via your profile in order to view adult works. If you are specifically looking for furry artwork this is a good place to start. Fur Affinity is currently offline due to hardware failure.

Furry Art Pile is another 'furry friendly' art community where adult art is welcome too. It has a very handy tagging system which makes for easier browsing.

VCL is a furry art community. It has a stringent application process and minimum skill level required. Anthropomorphic "furry" and/or intelligent "fantasy" critters such as dragon, gryphons, gargoyles, etc. based art only, meaning no humans or regular animals. At the moment registration is closed due to a server issue but I'll keep an eye on it and will update here once its has re-opened.

Elfwood is the largest sci-fi and fantasy art and fiction site on the internet. It uses an application procedure to ensure you have read the rules and every submission is reviewed for content, but not necessarily skill level. There is an upload limit and it has a PG-13 rating so no sexual, drug-related, hate, or graphic violence is allowed.

Renderosity is a community for digital artwork, both 2D and 3D. Galleries are available for all and there is specific file size limit or storage limit, however, non-subscription accounts are limited to one upload per day. Adult work is allowed except for anything even hinting at child pornography. Traditional art is not to be posted there.

SheezyArt is yet another deviantART-like site. It has open membership and no skill level or subject restriction but it does not permit any artwork depicting pornographic acts or child nudity.

ArtSpots & JaxPad are sister sites, when you sign up you can use your login on both. Originally the two sites were separate, JaxPad for anyone and ArtSpots for 'better' artists, but now they are getting merged into one community. Furry and anthro work is welcome, but there is a max rating of PG-13 for submitted work.

I'd post a link to my senior project, as we "built" an art gallery site, but it failed so miserably (in my eyes) that I won't (you know how art sites are dynamic? Yeah? Well, ours isn't--20 users maximum! And each only gets 5 pieces of art. How's that for functionaly miss I Want To Use a Static Client Side Interpreted 3D Language No One's Heard Of to Make a Dynamic Virtual World Art Gallery?)

Project was a bastard child of DeviantArt and Second Life without any of the benifits of either.
